He was 67.<\/p>\n<p>The sound engineer died of kidney failure, Bullock told the outlet, adding that he had battled serious heart issues in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Junior\u2019 was more than a cousin to me,\u201d she said in a statement obtained by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/10\/05\/celebrity-news\/tina-turners-son-ike-jr-dead-at-67\/\">Page Six<\/a> Oct. 5, \u201cbut\u00a0rather a\u00a0brother, as we grew up in the same famed household together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bullock went on to highlight Ike Jr.\u2019s musical abilities, noting that they were inherited from his parents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the son of Tina and Ike Turner, from an early age, his talents were\u00a0evident\u00a0as there\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0an instrument he did not want to play,\u201d she continued. \u201cWhile he favored the drums early on, my aunt and his mother, Tina Turner, insisted that he break down his drum kit after each practice.
