I love her,\u201d Barnett wrote via his Instagram Story on Sunday, October 4. \u201cThere\u2019s been no relational issues &amp; no drifting apart\u2026 just her own feeling &amp; intuition that she needed to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cI don\u2019t agree with this &amp; I didn\u2019t want this. I know who I am, what I want, what I provided and what we were. Our life has been fulfilling, happy &amp; happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barnett noted that he didn\u2019t \u201cwant to share this\u201d and he doesn\u2019t \u201cwant to talk about it,\u201d but because the pair have \u201clived a public life\u201d he has no choice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a tragedy, I miss the person I love and this whole thing has been really fkn sad,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate Instagram Story, Barnett explained that he planned to share \u201cmore about my work because it\u2019s what I have been using this account for. Plus it\u2019s been a great outlet and is something I genuinely enjoy. Appreciate all ur guys love &amp; support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clarke broke the news on Sunday that she and Barnett had called it quits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy life is shifting and I\u2019m moving into a new chapter apart from JT,\u201d Clarke wrote via her Instagram Story. \u201cIt\u2019s truly hard to put into words how tough this feels, but I trust it\u2019s the right step for me. I\u2019ll forever be grateful for the love and memories we shared for these past eight years together. Thank you for giving us space and grace as we move through this new chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barnett and Clarke <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/pictures\/celebrity-weddings-of-2025-stars-who-got-married-this-year\/\">tied the knot<\/a> in November 2024 after initially meeting when he approached her via Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe slid into my DMs after commenting on a photo of me getting baptized, and what started as a friendly exchange quickly turned into something more meaningful,\u201d Clarke wrote on Shona Joy\u2019s website after her wedding to Barnett. \u201cAt the time, he was playing hockey in Russia, and I was pursuing modeling. To make it even more special, he flew in both of our families to celebrate the moment with us.
