However, thanks to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/apps-software\/youtube\/youtube-labs-wants-you-to-test-the-future-of-ai-starting-with-music\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/apps-software\/youtube\/youtube-labs-wants-you-to-test-the-future-of-ai-starting-with-music\">YouTube Labs<\/a>, it&#8217;s now the testbed for a new AI feature that brings AI hosts to the music listening experience.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not unlike <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/apps-software\/spotify-ai-dj-curated-music\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/apps-software\/spotify-ai-dj-curated-music\">Spotify&#8217;s AI DJ<\/a>, which features an AI-generated host that talks between songs to provide commentary or context for upcoming tracks. Except for YouTube Music, there are two AI hosts that converse with each other as part of a &#8220;radio show&#8221; called Beyond the Beat.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" id=\"elk-seasonal\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<aside data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" class=\"hawk-root\"\/>\n<p id=\"9c80cc48-6983-4f29-8633-9bd578646c93-2\">To some, this might sound annoying; after all, who would want some AI-generated voices interrupting their listening experience? The first time you enable the feature, they&#8217;ll even introduce themselves after the first listen to let you know that they are, in fact, AI, and that they can get some things wrong.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite being AI, they actually have surprisingly great chemistry and ooze personality. The conversations flow pretty seamlessly between these two, and if you didn&#8217;t know they were AI, you might think they were actual radio hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Like Spotify&#8217;s AI DJ, they&#8217;ll only interject every so often, and when they do, it&#8217;ll last for less than a minute, usually around 40 seconds. That said, it&#8217;s only a test at this stage, so it&#8217;s not yet widely available. US-based subscribers will have to consciously sign up for and enable the experiment for it to appear. As a result, most users won&#8217;t have to worry about an annoying AI-generated radio show ruining their music experience.<\/p>\n<p>With any luck, any kinks will be ironed out before a potential wide release, and the AI hosts will be an opt-in feature rather than an opt-out.
