The Who<\/a> played what was billed as their final North American show<\/a> on their farewell tour <\/a>on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, Calif., but it turns out that Roger Daltrey<\/strong> and Pete Townshend<\/strong> weren\u2019t quite done yet.<\/p>\n The Who were just one of the featured acts on a bill of rock legends that played a backyard charity concert in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Friday, Oct. 3 for Teen Cancer America<\/a>, which was founded by Daltrey and Townshend, and UCLA Health Center.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfac <\/strong>SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox<\/strong><\/a> \ud83c\udfac<\/strong><\/p>\n Others on the bill include d Cheap Trick, Peter Frampton<\/strong>, Def Leppard, John Fogerty<\/a><\/strong> and the Doobie Brothers. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder<\/a><\/strong> wasn\u2019t officially on the bill, but he made guest appearances with the Who and Fogerty.<\/p>\n The lineup was shared on X by radio and TV personality Matt Pinfield<\/a><\/strong>, who posted along with a photo of the bill<\/a>, and wrote, \u201cThis was last night\u2026. EPIC backyard concert.\u201d<\/p>\n The Who played a seven-song set opening with \u201cI Can\u2019t Explain\u201d and concluding with \u201cWon\u2019t Get Fooled Again\u201d and \u201cBaba O\u2019Riley.\u201d Vedder joined them for their fifth song of the night, \u201cThe Kids Are Alright,\u201d per setlist.fm<\/a>.<\/p>\n Some well-known figures lucky enough to attend the event shared photos, videos and information about the event on social media.<\/p>\n Def Leppard News posted live from the event, and shared photos of Cheap Trick<\/a>, Frampton<\/a>, the Who<\/a> with Vedder, and Def Leppard<\/a>\u2019s acoustic set.<\/p>\n Pinfield posted some other photos, including one that appeared to be a goody bag that listed the artists on the bill along with the caption, \u201cThe greatest backyard concert ever last night that Roger and Pete of THE WHO put together for the teenage cancer trust that saves children\u2019s lives. It was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n He also shared a photo with Vedder, along with a lengthy caption that touched upon his recent health struggles and how Pearl Jam\u2019s music helped pave the way for his recovery.<\/p>\n \u201cLet me tell you how much I love @eddievedder<\/a> and @pearljam<\/a>, their most recent album was the soundtrack of my last year. I played every song on that record on the radio many times. In fact when I came out of the coma and the second hospital and finally got back on the radio to do my first show I ended that show with the final song on \u2018Dark Matter\u2019 titled. \u2018Setting Sun.\u2019 It was so great to get to talk to Eddie last night about our mutual love of the Who. And he performed. THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT\u201d with Pete and Roger. Then he performed with another one of my heroes. @johnfogerty<\/a> doing \u2018Fortunate Son.\u2019 I can\u2019t wait for the next record and group of songs he comes up with.
