HGTV star Drew Scott<\/a> is encouraging his twin brother, Jonathan Scott<\/a>, and his fianc\u00e9e, Zooey Deschanel<\/a>, to tie the knot already, even offering to build them a wedding venue<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Property Brothers<\/em><\/a> star spoke with People<\/em><\/a> at the A Sense Of Home 10th Anniversary Gala at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California, on Saturday (October 4), where he was asked if he and his brother would be constructing a venue for the upcoming nuptials.<\/p>\n \u201cI will offer to build a venue, right?\u201d Drew said, poking fun at Jonathan and Deschanel, who have still not set a date despite being engaged for over two years. \u201cI\u2019m going to harass him.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what? I will tell him that you told me. It\u2019s not me pushing, but I was told\u2026 People<\/em> were saying that you need to get this done,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Jonathan and Deschanel began dating in 2019 after meeting on a segment of Carpool Karaoke<\/em><\/a>. They went public with their relationship one week after the New Girl<\/em><\/a> star announced that she and her husband, Jacob Pechenik<\/a>, were getting a divorce. Jonathan is stepfather to Deschanel\u2019s children, Elsie (10) and Charlie (8), whom she shares with Pechenik.<\/p>\n Despite announcing their engagement on August 14, 2023, Jonathan and Deschanel haven\u2019t confirmed any dates for a wedding. And while Jonathan\u2019s brother Drew enjoys teasing them, he made it clear that they\u2019re in love and simply taking their time.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd again, they love each other,\u201d Drew told People<\/em>. \u201cThey\u2019re amazing together. I\u2019m like, \u2018You guys, it\u2019ll happen when it happens.\u2019 And for now, they just love the time together with the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n Jonathan said something similar to the publication back in August, noting that life has been busy with Deschanel and his and Drew\u2019s HGTV series Chasing the West<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve just been\u00a0having so much fun\u00a0traveling with the kids and filming this show and stuff,\u201d he said.<\/a> \u201cSo no, we have not actually made any plans yet, which, it\u2019s been\u00a0two years now since I proposed\u2026 Whatever we do, it has to be meaningful to us and we want to gather our friends and family and have a good time\u2026 we want to keep it very, very intimate.\u201d<\/p>\n
