Suge Knight has broken his silence regarding Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 50-month sentencing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The incarcerated Death Row Records <\/a>co-founder spoke with The Art Of Dialogue<\/a> from prison following the ruling to discuss how he believes Diddy got lucky. \u201cAs far as Puffy is concerned, it\u2019s a great day for him,\u201d Knight began. \u201cIt\u2019s an even better day for his family, you know? [\u2026] Overall, though, it\u2019s not surprising. We do all know one thing: like I said before, Puffy has strong ties<\/a> with the government. With the feds and anybody else woulda been cooked.\u201d<\/p>\n The 60-year-old claims that Diddy\u2019s sentencing <\/a>was \u201cthe first time in history that a person going to get sentenced [could] actually put on a campaign like they\u2019re running for the President of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n Knight shaded the video shown in the courtroom <\/a>of Diddy spending time with his family in an effort to gain \u201cmercy\u201d<\/a> from the judge and joked, \u201cOnly thing I was waiting on was them bringing out the DJ and start playing music and letting him do what he does best\u2014 dance and shake that a** and end up with no time.\u201d He did admit that due to Diddy\u2019s alleged ties to the government, it wasn\u2019t possible for him to \u201cget a lot of time or ever really get punished.\u201d<\/p>\n The Compton native added that the \u201csad side\u201d of the sentencing was that \u201cnot one of his baby mothers came in to support him or testify.\u201d Both Sarah Chapman (mother of Chance Combs) and Dana Tran (mother of Love Combs) submitted letters of support <\/a>to the judge with the latter \u201crespectfully asking for compassion.\u201d Chapman claimed that Diddy has proven himself to be a new man.<\/p>\n Knight noted that it was \u201ca good day for Hip-Hop\u201d and name-dropped Usher<\/a> and Russell Simmons <\/a>as two people \u201cwho can\u2019t wait for [Diddy] to come home.\u201d He also called out Al B. Sure!<\/a> as someone whose \u201cIt\u2019s a great day for the Combs family<\/a>.
