Actress Kimberly H\u00e9bert Gregory, best known for her commanding role as Dr. Belinda Brown in HBO\u2019s dark comedy Vice Principals<\/em>, has passed away at the age of 52. According to reports<\/a>, Gregory died on Friday (Oct. 3). No cause of death has been disclosed at this time.<\/p>\n The Houston-born actress, who began her on-screen career with a role in the 2007 Chris Rock film<\/a> I Think I Love My Wife<\/em>, carved out a notable path in television and film over the last two decades.<\/p>\n Her screen presence was unforgettable\u2014equal parts fire and finesse\u2014gracing everything from Gossip Girl <\/em>and The Black Donnellys<\/em> to Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>, Better Call Saul<\/em>, and Law & Order<\/em>.<\/p>\n In addition to her television work, she appeared in Spike Lee\u2019s Red Hook Summer<\/em><\/a>, as well as the films Five Feet Apart<\/em>, Arizona<\/em>, and Miss Virginia<\/em>.<\/p>\n On Saturday (Oct. 4), Gregory\u2019s ex-husband and fellow actor Chester Gregory confirmed her passing with a deeply moving tribute on Instagram:<\/p>\n \u201cKimberly H\u00e9bert Gregory You Were Brilliance Embodied, A Black Woman Whose Mind Lit Every Room, Whose Presence Carried Both Fire And Grace. Through Him, Your Laughter Will Always Resound.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank You, Kimberly, For Every Chapter We Shared.
