Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> is offering insight into dad Scott Swift<\/strong>\u2019s health after his heart surgery.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing so great,\u201d Swift, 35, said during an appearance on SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cMorning Mash Up\u201d<\/a> Monday, October 6. \u201cBy his own accord, he\u2019s actually at 150 percent now. So he\u2019s definitely got too much energy. He\u2019s doing amazing. I\u2019m so happy. To contextualize this, my dad had a quintuple bypass surgery over the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in July that Scott was in recovery after undergoing a heart procedure the month prior. TMZ<\/em> reported at the time that Taylor, brother Austin Swift and mom Andrea Swift were supporting Scott amid his health journey and surgery, which happened after a routine check-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest part of our summer was, as a family, just taking care of him and getting him back to his old self,\u201d Taylor explained on Monday. \u201cHe had amazing medical care and help. The doctors and nurses that I\u2019m going to be forever grateful for. It recontextualizes to you what matters, honestly. It really does. The father-daughter duo have had a close relationship through the years, with Scott being known for giving Swifties guitar picks featuring her latest album at her shows and beyond. Taylor confirmed that Scott is currently carrying The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>-themed guitar picks after the release of her 12th studio album on Friday, October 3.<\/p>\n

The album, which Swift recorded between concerts on her Eras Tour<\/em>, quickly broke records<\/a> across streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing about this album that I think is really exciting is that, oftentimes when I make a record, we then take all this time to plan out how we\u2019re going to put it out,\u201d Swift said during a Friday interview on the U.K.\u2019s Hits Radio<\/em> station. \u201cThere\u2019s a little lag time between when I made it and when it enters the world.
