George Clooney<\/strong> isn\u2019t holding back when discussing his past.<\/p>\n

In a new Esquire<\/a> profile published on Monday, October 6, the ER alum confessed that in 1982, he tried drugs, including \u201cblow and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to make jokes about how I did too many drugs, but the truth is, it was never a big issue for me at all,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cAnd look, there was an episode of Taxi where they\u2019re all doing blow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, it was like, \u2018No, this is not like heroin. It\u2019s not addictive.\u2019 But then it was like, \u2018Oh, well, it\u2019s actually pretty f***ng bad,\u2019\u201d he continued. \u201cPlus, it was all cut with mannitol. The baby laxative. Everybody would do a line and then take a s***.\u201d<\/p>\n

Esquire shared that Clooney tried marijuana once when he made pot brownies with his friends 15 years prior. During the experience, the group had watched the 1939 classic, The Wizard of Oz,\u00a0and listened to the Pink Floyd rock album Dark Side of the Moon.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were f***ed. I literal \u2014 I think all of us \u2014 there was like 20 of us in the screening room, and the movie ended, and we sat there without speaking for, like, hours. Hours!\u201d the Golden Globe winner recalled. \u201cLike the sun was coming up and we\u2019re \u2014 it\u2019s just not my drug.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for alcohol, Clooney \u2013 who is part owner of the Casamigos tequila brand alongside businessman Rande Gerber<\/strong> \u2013 is partial to the liquor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had periods where I wouldn\u2019t say it was a problem \u2014 I never woke up and drank or anything,\u201d he dished. \u201cBut I\u2019d have runs where I\u2019d get pretty toasty every night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Syriana actor then recalled that he got a bit tipsy at the 2025 Tony Awards afterparty earlier this summer while celebrating his role as Edward R. Murrow<\/strong> in the play Good Night, and Good Luck.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got blasted,\u201d he admitted. \u201cBarely-walking drunk, you know? Came home with [my wife] Amal<\/strong>, and I was just laughing. We\u2019re lying in bed, and I go, \u2018Well, I caught up for all my abstinence in one night.\u2019 I was sick all day the next day; it was hysterical. I was like high school drunk. Like, dumba** drunk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clooney had been nominated at the time for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play, however he lost out on the golden statuette when Cole Escola<\/strong> won for their role in the play Oh, Mary!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
