Look at this guy!\u201d Lopez interjected, while smiling and turning to look at someone off camera.<\/p>\n \u201cBut then I read your ex is an executive producer on the film,\u201d Melvin continued.<\/p>\n Lopez kept it together and responded magnanimously: \u201cHe is. If it wasn\u2019t for Ben, the movie wouldn\u2019t have got made. And I will always give him that credit\u2026 things happen. You have to keep going. \u201d<\/p>\n Melvin, a moment later, said the film sounded like it may have helped \u201csave\u201d Lopez during a tough time. \u201cIt did!\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n Affleck is indeed an executive producer on the new musical drama, alongside his old pal, Matt Damon<\/strong>. Lopez and Affleck finalized their second divorce<\/a> in January, after the on-again, off-again couple were married in July 2022.<\/p>\n The Melvin-Lopez interview moved on smoothly enough from there. Melvin asked her about the controversy surrounding Bad Bunny<\/strong> being announced as the next Super Bowl halftime performer \u2014 but Lopez said she was blissfully unaware some people were not happy about it. \u201cIs there a controversy?\u201d she responded.<\/p>\n There was, with some MAGA influencers<\/a>, including Benny Johnson, <\/strong>voicing their displeasure last week.
