The growing obsession over the film festival standing ovation and the reaction to it from the stars has \u2014 for some \u2014 become a source of ridicule. Was it 12 or 13 minutes long? \u201cOvation\u201d \u2014 a new short film written and performed by Luke Barnett<\/a> \u2014 is described as \u201can actor\u2019s journey through a never-ending standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n

Filmed in one continuous take with the camera never taking its focus from Barnett\u2019s face, \u201cOvation\u201d shows the actor\u2019s suited star rise from his seat to wild applause and, across five minutes of near continual whoops and cheers, run the gamut of emotions.
