Today’sCraig Melvin<\/strong> decided to bring up Jennifer Lopez’s divorce while interviewing her on Oct. 6 \u2014 and she totally called him out for it. Lopez stopped by the New York studio to discuss her new film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, when Affleck’s name entered the conversation.<\/p>\n “In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” Melvin said to Lopez<\/a>. Before he could finish speaking, Lopez interjected, saying, “There you go! Look at this guy!”<\/p>\n Melvin was quick to recover. “But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film,” he replied. Lopez laughed off the potentially awkward moment and added a glowing review about her ex.<\/p>\n “If it wasn\u2019t for Ben, the movie wouldn\u2019t have gotten made. While chatting with Lee Cowan on CBS News Sunday Morning<\/a> in late September, Lopez said that the divorce was “the best thing that ever happened” to her.<\/p>\n “Because it changed me. It helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow,” she said.<\/p>\n Lopez and Affleck rekindled their love story in 2021, nearly two decades after calling off their first engagement. They’d go on to tie the knot in 2022, but things went sound shortly thereafter.
