Jennifer Lopez<\/strong> recently opened up about a challenging time in her life.<\/p>\n On Monday, October 6, Lopez, 56, appeared on Today<\/em><\/a> to promote her new musical movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman<\/em>, when host Craig Melvin<\/strong> pointed out that she and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck,<\/strong> were both working on the film \u2014 in different capacities \u2014 during their split.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,\u201d Melvin began.<\/p>\n \u201cThere you go,\u201d Lopez laughed in response. \u201cLook at this guy.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n The \u201cOn the Floor\u201d singer \u2014 who finalized her divorc<\/a>e<\/a> from the Good Will Hunting<\/em> actor, 53, in January 2025 \u2014 admitted, \u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for Ben, the movie wouldn\u2019t have gotten made, and I will always give him that credit.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThings happen, you have to keep going,\u201d Lopez explained. \u201cBut it\u2019s funny, the movie is about escapism.
