Dolores Catania<\/strong><\/a> revealed her home was recently broken into while she and boyfriend Paul \u201cPaulie\u201d Connell<\/strong> were out of town.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur house got broken into last week \u2026 or two weeks ago,\u201d the Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a> star, 54, said during a Monday, October 6, appearance on SiriusXM\u2019s Jeff Lewis Live<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThey came in with a blowtorch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catania\u2019s revelation was met with a series of gasps and shocked expressions from those in the studio before she recalled the details of the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were in Rhode Island, and as I told you before, I would be doing some cameos on the new [Real] Housewives of Rhode Island<\/em><\/a>, and we were filming,\u201d she said. \u201cPaulie had his phone off, and he was performing for everyone there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catania explained that she and Connell were simply enjoying a fun night out together. While enjoying their time away, Dolores noticed Connell\u2019s son was calling her. (Paulie shares two sons, Brooklyn and Kameron, with ex-wife Joanne Connell<\/strong>. Dolores, for her part, is mother to son Frankie and daughter Gabby with ex-husband Frank Catania<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cMy phone was going off and I saw it was his son,\u201d she said. \u201cI always answer for the kids, even if I\u2019m in the middle of filming. He goes, \u2018Is my dad there? The house just got broken into.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While Paulie didn\u2019t hear what his son told Dolores at first, he could tell it was serious since she had a startled expression.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought something happened to one of my kids or somebody\u2019s child \u2026 but [the break-in] was pretty bad,\u201d Paulie explained.<\/p>\n

Neither of Dolores\u2019s nor Paulie\u2019s kids were home at the time of the incident. Paulie\u2019s son found out because the police contacted him to relay what happened.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania exclusively gave Us an update on her boyfriend Paulie Connell\u2019s ongoing divorce. \u201cIt\u2019s very close,\u201d Catania, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 2, while discussing season 14 of RHONJ. \u201cIt\u2019s been moving along.\u201d She continued, \u201cUnless I wanted to really get married, I\u2019m not [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cApparently, they came in with a blowtorch. They broke the window,\u201d Paulie said. \u201cThey heated it so it wouldn\u2019t set off the alarm. So it shatters without setting off the alarm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dolores shared that Paulie has the \u201cmost insane alarm system\u201d installed at their home that will shout at an \u201cintruder\u201d to \u201cget out.\u201d The reality star had some good news as the alleged burglars \u201cdidn\u2019t take one thing\u201d because of how quickly the police arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were inside the house for about a minute and something,\u201d Paulie said. \u201cThey [spent] eight minutes trying to get in because they used this torch because the glass was tempered. So rather than smash the glass and set off the alarm, they heat it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the burglars allegedly tried to bypass the alarm by heating the glass, their system was triggered thanks to the motion sensor inside the home. The system typically stays silent for the \u201cfirst minute and a half\u201d before the alarm sounds and alerts the authorities.<\/p>\n
