Jennifer Lopez<\/a>\u2019s fans aren\u2019t the only ones who think she is “incredible.\u201d Ben Affleck<\/a> does, too.<\/p>\nAffleck made a surprise appearance at the New York City red carpet premiere of Lopez\u2019s latest film, the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman<\/a>, on Monday, Oct. 6. Affleck and Matt Damon\u2019s Artists Equity co-produced the film, which is based on the Broadway musical by Terrence McNally, John Kander and Frank Ebb and the novel by Manuel Puig.<\/p>\nAt the event, Affleck shared his admiration for Lopez in an introduction to the film. \u201cMy goal was to empower great artists and tell moving stories and great opportunities for these kinds of great stories to be told and to work with the best directors in the world and the best material,\u201d Affleck began. \u201cIn this movie, we did all that and it\u2019s an honor to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Affleck later called Lopez \u201cincredible\u201d and praised director Bill Condon for an \u201camazing job.\u201d He also jokingly welcomed actor Tonatiuh, who plays Luis Molina\/Kendall Nesbitt, to a \u201clifelong stardom.\u201d<\/p>\n
Likewise, Lopez thanked Affleck for attending the screening, adding that Kiss of the Spider Woman \u201cwouldn\u2019t have been made without Ben and without Artists Equity.\u201d<\/p>\n
