After 40 years of filling stages throughout Latin America and the world, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs will start their upcoming tour at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These concerts mark the Argentinian band\u2019s first U.S. stop on their historic LFC Tour 2025, celebrating 40 years of music and innovation.<\/p>\n

Known for their genre-bending mix of ska, reggae, salsa, rock and punk, the Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning band will deliver a career-spanning setlist featuring iconic hits such as \u201cMatador,\u201d \u201cSiguiendo la Luna,\u201d \u201cEl Le\u00f3n Santill\u00e1n,\u201d and \u201cVasos Vac\u00edos.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They have collaborated with many artists, from Celia Cruz and Rub\u00e9n Blades to Mick Jones of The Clash.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs<\/a> were the first Argentine and Spanish-speaking band to participate in the “MTV Unplugged” series, back in 1994. Their influence can be felt in the work of countless artists and pioneers in the realm of Latin rock and ska.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band’s debut album, “Bares y fondas,” was a nod to their humble beginnings as friends exploring the local music scene. Their early style, reminiscent of ska “rude boys,” evolved as they achieved their first gold record in 1987.<\/span><\/p>\n

The release of their second LP, “Yo te avis\u00e9!,” produced by Andr\u00e9s Calamaro, marked the beginning of the Cadillacs’ boom. This ascent continued with “El ritmo mundial,” as they expanded their musical range, inviting Celia Cruz to sing as well as covering The Clash.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their lineup changed over the years, but the band continued to grow, showcasing their maturity with the release of “El Le\u00f3n” in 1992. This album, produced by KC Porter, featured a mix of musical styles and collaborations with renowned artists like Gustavo Santaolalla, Flaco Jim\u00e9nez and Paulinho da Costa.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this period, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs shared the stage with bands like Mano Negra, Paralamas and Tit\u00e1s, forging a new Latin music front.<\/span><\/p>\n

“El Le\u00f3n” set the stage for the band’s entry into the Latin world and led to the continental success of the compilation album “Vasos vac\u00edos,” which included their iconic hit “Matador.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Their first decade culminated with the release of “Rey Az\u00facar,” featuring collaborations with Debbie Harry, Mick Jones and Big Youth, followed by international tours and festival appearances.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band’s musical direction shifted again in 1997 with “Fabulosos Calavera,” featuring complex jazz-rock structures and collaborations with Rub\u00e9n Blades and Mimi Maura. This album earned them a Grammy Award in the newly created Best Rock\/Alternative Performance category.<\/span><\/p>\n

After several successful albums and tours, the band took a break in 2002, with members pursuing solo careers or other projects. They reunited in 2008 for the “Sat\u00e1nico Pop Tour,” which was marred by the untimely death of percussionist Gerardo “Tot\u00f3” Rotblat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs have continued to tour and release albums, while also focusing on their individual projects. Their 2016 album, “La salvaci\u00f3n de Solo y Juan,” earned them two Latin Grammy Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n
