Colin Bracewell didn\u2019t get any chairs to turn for his blind audition on \u201cThe Voice\u201d on Monday night, but the judges encouraged the Stillwater singer to keep trying.<\/p>\n
Bracewell, dressed in a fuzzy pink cardigan and brown slacks, sang the Bee Gees\u2019 classic \u201cMore than a Woman\u201d in the nationwide singing competition on NBC. He ended the song by singing in falsetto.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish you would have sung it in falsetto from the beginning,\u201d Snoop Dogg said. \u201cYou put your own spin on it. But I started to hear all the things that you could do with your vocals towards the end, and then the clock ran out. This is just one day, and one day doesn\u2019t make your career as long as you live to see the next day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bracewell, 24, also sang several bars of opera at Snoop Dog\u2019s request.<\/p>\n
Niall Horan, who became famous as a member of the boy band One Direction, told Bracewell to continue to pursue his passion. He also told Bracewell that he loved his outfit.<\/p>\n
\u201cColin, I\u2019m so sorry, man,\u201d Horan said. \u201cGoing in and out of head and chest voice is so difficult to do. Honestly, come back because I\u2019m telling you a different song and a different mood with that tone. You\u2019ll go places, no doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bracewell\u2019s older brother, Chad, also appeared on the show wearing a \u201cChad \u2018The Merch Man\u2019 Bracewell\u201d T-shirt. Chad Bracewell, who has a rare genetic disorder and is on the autism spectrum, is a well-known fixture at Bracewell\u2019s concerts<\/a>, helping sell merchandise and chatting with fans.<\/p>\n \u201cMy brother inspires me to make the most of every opportunity,\u201d Colin Bracewell said. \u201cI can always count on him. Everyone knows him at my shows now, and he\u2019s great. \u2026 My brother is an inspiration to chase this dream. If there\u2019s some way that I can continue to do music, having my brother be there with me every step of the way, that would be the dream.
