KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Royals and Commerce Bank partnered with a goal of \u201cHelping Kids Take the Field.”<\/i><\/p>\n

The campaign collected more than 5,000 pieces of youth baseball and softball equipment to donate to non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n

Alex Gordon and Royals rookie pitcher Noah Cameron both helped the effort to get young athletes on the field. They each donated to the effort.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor decades, Commerce Bank has stood proudly beside the Royals \u2014 not just as a partner in baseball, but as a champion for the Kansas City community,\u201d Kevin Barth, Commerce Bank chairman and CEO, said.<\/p>\n

Kansas City\u2019s Urban Youth Academy and the non-profit Pony Express Baseball located in St. Joseph benefited from the donations.<\/p>\n
