The actor, who portrays Arthur Guinness in the Netflix period drama, revealed that the scene was completely authentic.<\/p>\n Anthony Boyle has opened up about his viral bath scene in the House of Guinness show. In Episode 3 of the Netflix drama, Boyle\u2019s character, Arthur Guinness, is seen lounging in a bath, smoking a cigar, and drinking whiskey before stepping out completely naked as his older servant waits nearby with a towel.<\/p>\n During an interview with Men\u2019s Health<\/a>, Boyle confirmed that the full-frontal sequence was filmed without a body double or prosthetics. He said, \u201cIt\u2019s not a prosthetic. It\u2019s my own body.\u201d The Say Nothing actor also shared that he suggested rewriting the scene as the nude scene wasn\u2019t originally in the script, but was something he suggested the night before filming. \u201cI sort of wrote that aspect into the scene,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Boyle revealed that originally the script had Arthur dressing by the mirror. \u201cIt was the night before we were filming, and he was in the script originally meant to be getting his cufflinks on by the mirror,\u201d he said. However, he explained that it felt a little \u201cboring.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor further stated, \u201cI called the director and said, \u2018I think he should be smoking and drinking whiskey in the bath, and he should be completely naked and just get up, to show that he owns the whole fucking world.\u2019\u201d Boyle continued, \u201cHe wouldn\u2019t even have to say anything to say, \u2018I\u2019m above these servants. This is my world. I am dominant, and I control everything\u2019.
