This week I\u2019m talking to one of the biggest and brightest stars in country music Lainey Wilson<\/a>. Back in May, I drove up to Nashville and got to have this conversation in person at Lainey\u2019s farmhouse outside of town. We were there for a Southern Living<\/em> cover shoot, and we sat down on a pair of comfortable chairs in her speakeasy-style basement, which is where she writes a lot of her songs. There were velvet prints of Dolly Parton<\/a>, Elvis, and Kenny Rogers on the walls, with a gorgeous bar for entertaining and a cabinet full of old records. Lainey couldn\u2019t have been more welcoming as a host, even though she\u2019s been touring nonstop for her latest album, Whirlwind<\/em>, which is just out with a deluxe reissue. If that weren\u2019t enough, she\u2019s hosting the CMA Awards in mid-November, and she\u2019s appearing in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover\u2019s novel Reminders of Him<\/em> early next year.
