With House of the Dragon Season 3 gearing up for a tentative June 2026 release, another spinoff titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will hit the screens in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Serving as a prequel to Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms borrows its tale from George RR Martin&#8217;s\u00a0Dunk and Egg\u00a0novellas. It&#8217;s a wonderful place to be. We are ground up in this series; we are starting right at the bottom. We&#8217;re not with the lords and ladies, the kings and queens.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Unlike the behemoths House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones, the prequel is surprisingly built on a smaller scale, so much so that it even lacks a monumental title sequence. \u201cThe title sequences on the original [Game of Thrones] and House of the Dragon are big and epic and incredible. Ramin Djawadi\u2019s score is orchestral and large, and beautiful. That&#8217;s not really Dunk\u2019s M.O. He\u2019s plain and he\u2019s simple and he\u2019s to-the-point.
