Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> stood by his wife, Sharon<\/strong>, following her 2021 exit from The Talk<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The famed rocker, who died in July<\/a> at the age of 76, detailed her contentious exit from the chat show at the time in his new posthumous memoir Last Rites<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sharon, 72, departed from The Talk<\/em> after she was criticized for agreeing with pal Piers Morgan<\/strong> following his comments about Meghan Markle<\/strong>. She had defended the British journalist during an on-air debate with cohost Sheryl Underwood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSharon basically said her friend was entitled to his opinion, even if she didn\u2019t agree with him,\u201d the Black Sabbath singer penned, per Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>. \u201cShe also said not believing Markle doesn\u2019t automatically make you a racist. That was it, as far as I know. That\u2019s all she said.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then explicitly claimed that someone at the show\u2019s network probably \u201cset her up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, Sharon was f***ed the second the subject even came up. It was a complete carve-up, what happened,\u201d he noted. \u201cThe person she is convinced set her up \u2014 and I ain\u2019t gonna name names, \u2019cos the last thing I want to do is stir all that s*** up again \u2014 knew what they were doing, I think. And Sharon, when she feels like she\u2019s being cornered, she\u2019s gonna come out fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the heated discussion, CBS stopped airing The Talk<\/em> and launched an investigation, also looking at previous allegations of Sharon reportedly making other racist statements to others.<\/p>\n

Of Sharon\u2019s exit and alleged racist remarks, Ozzy wrote in his book: \u201cIt\u2019s against everything she\u2019s ever stood for. Anyone who\u2019s spent more than five seconds with her knows that. The people she worked with on that show knew that. To be stuck with that label, it was just f***ing wrong. Because you can never get a gig anywhere on TV once that\u2019s what people think of you. It\u2019s game over. They knew that when they took her down.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer, who explained that Sharon is still friends with some of the women who worked on The Talk<\/em>\u2019s set, added that after she \u201ccried all her tears,\u201d she \u201clets it go and never talks about it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s an incredible woman, my wife,\u201d he wrote. \u201cAs for The Talk<\/em>, poetic justice was served in the end. It got f***ing canceled.\u201d<\/p>\n

The talk show was eventually canned in April 2024 after 15 seasons. Sharon had been a cohost since its inception in October 2010.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
