Trump Republicans aren\u2019t too happy about the new Zach Bryan song coming for the airwaves.<\/p>\n
The Grammy award-winning country music singer released a <\/span>snippet<\/a> of an unreleased track, \u201cBad News\u201d, on his Instagram over the weekend. From the minute-long preview, \u201cBad News\u201d appears to be an old-fashioned protest song that captures scenes of a disintegrating America, taking swipes at ICE while lamenting the \u201cfading of the red, white, and blue.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI heard the cops came\/Cocky motherfuckers, ain\u2019t they?\u201d sings Bryan. \u201cAnd ICE is gonna come bust down your door\/Try to build a house no one builds no more\/But I got a telephone\/Kids are all scared and all alone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe bars stopped bumping, the rock stopped rolling\/The middl\u0435 fingers rising, and it won\u2019t stop showing\/Got some bad news\/Th\u0435 fading of the red, white and blue,\u201d the song continues.<\/span><\/p>\n Bryan, a self-described \u201ctotal libertarian,\u201d has rarely dipped his toe into national politics. In 2023, he publicly <\/span>feuded<\/a> with fellow country music star Travis Tritt after Bud Light opted to feature a <\/span>transgender activist<\/a> in one of its commercials. At the time, Bryan warned his fans against \u201cinsulting transgender people,\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n But this weekend\u2019s teaser absolutely jolted supporters of the president\u2019s agenda, particularly those in the country music enclave, who have since expressed their disinterest in Bryan\u2019s foray into political commentary.<\/span><\/p>\n Nashville singer Jake Owen <\/span>called<\/a> Bryan a tool. Big & Rich\u2019s John Rich sarcastically posited there might be a \u201clarge \u2018anti law enforcement\u2019 wing of the country music fanbase\u201d that Bryan could tap into.<\/span><\/p>\n Incredibly, the Trump administration also commented on the pop culture development. In an email to <\/span>Rolling Stone<\/i><\/a>, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said that Bryan should \u201cstick to Pink Skies,\u201d referring to the musician\u2019s song about a funeral.
