Pop superstar Taylor Swift has worn Adelaide-based label, Paolo Sebastian, in her latest music video, The Fate of Ophelia.<\/p>\n

Founder and designer Paul Vasileff told ABC News Breakfast the label had been approached by Swift’s team “a while ago”.<\/p>\n

“I’m just so grateful and so excited to think that something that was made in Adelaide and something that we handcrafted is then seen on a world stage,”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The dress was one of many outfits featured in the newly released music video for The Fate of Ophelia, which is the lead single of Swift’s twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.<\/p>\n

Mr Vasileff said he found out about Swift wearing the dress from Paolo Sebastian’s ‘A Lovers Kiss Collection’ when the rest of the world did.<\/p>\n

“I was getting onto a plane to come here to Dubai as we found out, and I think I saw the images in the video for like an hour or so and then jumped on the plane and was completely disconnected from everything,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I was kind of sitting there for 12 hours going, ‘I want to see more. I want to know what’s going on’.”<\/p>\n

Mr Vasileff is no stranger to dressing celebrities, with people like Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and recently Rachel Zegler and Anya Taylor-Joy having donned the label.<\/p>\n

Just last year, actress Jessica Alba wore one of Mr Vasileff’s dresses to the White House \u2014 a black French chantilly lace creation draped onto a corset bodice, spraying out into a skirt.<\/p>\n

Speaking from Dubai, Mr Vasileff said he was proud to be able to keep the work in SA, and show it off to the world.<\/p>\n

“Couture and hand making garments, it’s a dying art form, so I’m really proud that it’s something that we’ve been able to keep in South Australia,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Growing up, I was told to be successful, you’re going to have to move overseas or you’re not going to be able to do it out of Adelaide.<\/p>\n

“But it just shows that if you have a dream and you pursue it and you persevere, anything can be possible.“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
