As with every month, the streaming service will drip-feed fans a slate of original projects and beloved classics over the course of October. Perhaps this is because the first movie in the trilogy, 2014&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;The Maze Runner,&#8221;\u00a0is much closer to reliable family entertainment than ground-breaking cinema. The film slowly reveals the dystopian mystery at its core, but it&#8217;s the 2015 sequel, &#8220;Maze Runner:\u00a0The Scorch Trials,&#8221;\u00a0that ditches all that maze running in favor of world-building.\u00a0To say more would be to reveal some pretty big twists, which I\u00a0definitely don&#8217;t want to do considering the trilogy is so close to hitting Netflix. Suffice to say, you&#8217;ll see some pretty fun and unexpected variations on classic dystopian scenarios, along with antagonistic forces that are far more fascinating than a gigantic maze.\u00a0Rounding out the trilogy is <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/555894\/maze-runner-the-death-cure-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:2018's &quot;Mad Max&quot;-ian &quot;Maze Runner:\u00a0The Death Cure,&quot;;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">2018&#8217;s &#8220;Mad Max&#8221;-ian &#8220;Maze Runner:\u00a0The Death Cure,&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0which once again switches things up with a fresh stylistic twist and a lengthy but satisfying ending to the story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Apart from its narrative, a great incentive for watching the trilogy is the amazing bunch of great character actors who appear in varying supporting roles \u2014 think Aidan Gillen and Patricia Clarkson, and take it from there.
