The daughter of Robin Williams<\/span><\/a>, filmmaker <\/span>Zelda Williams<\/span><\/a>, is pleading with her late father\u2019s fans and trolls, asking them to stop sending her artificial intelligence generated videos of him, describing them as \u201cover-processed hotdogs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cPlease, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad,\u201d Zelda Williams, known for directing \u201cLisa Frankenstein,\u201d posted on an Instagram story Monday, <\/span>according to Deadline<\/span><\/a>. \u201cStop believing I wanna see it or that I\u2019ll understand, I don\u2019t and I won\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The late <\/span>actor died<\/span><\/a> at the age of 63 in an apparent suicide in 2014. He was best known for his roles in \u201990s and 2000s comedies such as \u201cMrs. Doubtfire\u201d and \u201cJumanji.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His daughter told those trolling her that she has \u201cseen way worse.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cBut please, if you\u2019ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s dumb, it\u2019s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it\u2019s NOT what he\u2019d want.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This was not the first time Zelda Williams slammed AI generated content of her late father. In 2023, she described AI recreations of her dad\u2019s iconic voice as \u201c<\/span>personally disturbing<\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThese recreations are, at their very best, a poor facsimile of greater people,\u201d Zelda Williams said at the time. \u201cBut at their worst, a horrendous Frankensteinian monster, cobbled together from the worst bits of everything this industry is, instead of what it should stand for.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She stood by her stance against AI on Monday, brutally telling those using the technology they\u2019re \u201cnot making art.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The filmmaker\u2019s statement comes amid <\/span>backlash<\/span><\/a> over <\/span>Tilly Norwood<\/span><\/a>, an AI program dubbed Hollywood\u2019s first \u201cAI actor,\u201d launched by Dutch producer and comedian Eline Van der Velden. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnd for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it \u2018the future.\u2019 AI is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed,\u201d Zelda Williams said in a follow-up post. \u201cYou are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
