The poll found that 44% of Americans approve of Kimmel, while 41% disapprove. In comparison, 41% approve of Trump, and 54% disapprove.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI lead Trump by 16 points,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cI\u2019m at plus three, he\u2019s at minus 13.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But Kimmel did see a downside to those numbers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cConsidering the fact that I\u2019m not a convicted felon, friend of Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, and I\u2019ve never paid off a porn star, sent a team of masked goons into a park to pull an old lady away from her grandchildren, I feel like my rating should be higher, maybe even?\u201d he said. \u201cAt this point, finding a toenail in your salad has a seven-point lead over Donald Trump.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That caused Kimmel to snark about the new poll. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI hope he doesn\u2019t see this,\u201d Kimmel said as he discussed the new poll. \u201cYou know I don\u2019t like to upset him, but I think he might be upset.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The White House released a statement attacking Kimmel over the poll, saying 77 million Americans voted for Trump in last year\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Kimmel said he liked the \u201cSad!\u201d part of the response with the exclamation point. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIt would make a nice T-shirt with Trump\u2019s face on it, wouldn\u2019t it?\u201d he suggested. \u201cYou know what else is sad? That the president of the United States has a lower approval rating than Diddy and diarrhea. That\u2019s what\u2019s sad.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
