MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG<\/a>) \u2014 A Grammy-nominated country and Christian music star is making her way to the Port City after the release of her third album.<\/p>\n Mary Lou Sheffield-Noletto, a Mobile dance icon, dies at 95 <\/a><\/p>\n Kentucky-native Anne Wilson will be releasing her new album \u201cStars\u201d on Oct. 17, with her performance at the Saenger Theatre happening on Oct. 25<\/p>\n WKRG News 5\u2019s Summer Poole sat down with Wilson to discuss her inspiration behind the album and<\/p>\n \u201cI started my music when my brother passed away through a tragedy, he died in a car accident in 2017 and music really became the cornerstone of my life,\u201d said Wilson.<\/p>\n Wilson signed a record deal at 17, moving to Nashville at 18 and releasing her first song, \u201cMy Jesus,\u201d at 19.<\/p>\n Now at 23, Wilson has accomplished so much more, releasing a book and a devotional, as well as releasing three studio albums.<\/p>\n \u201cI am in both Christian and country spaces, which has been so cool, but on every stage, whether I\u2019m opening for Morgan Wallen or I\u2019m playing at a church, I preach the gospel,\u201d said Wilson. \u201cFaith has just been at the forefront of all that I\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson said she feels like her latest album, \u201cStars,\u201d is the most authentic album she has released thus far.<\/p>\n \u201cThis album is all about wonder and dreaming of what God can do in your life, and never having a dream that\u2019s too big or never praying a prayer that\u2019s too big for God,\u201d said Wilson.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like this album has such an inspirational aspect to it of like, keep going. God\u2019s going to write a story in your life and God\u2019s going to get you through this and he\u2019s going to be there for you through this. So, that\u2019s kind of the overarching theme of this record.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson will be performing songs from the \u201cStars\u201d album, as well as songs from her previous two albums, at the show on Oct. 25.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a heavy last month for our country and I just pray that these nights will be a source of hope for people,\u201d said Wilson. \u201cI expect these to be full of fun and just a night where people can get away and kind of turn off the worries of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Her tour begins on Oct. 18 in Nashville and ends on Nov. 23 in Greensboro, N.C.<\/p>\n
