Grammy-winning worship collective Maverick City Music<\/a> is losing two of its members. According to Billboard<\/a>, Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine announced their exits from the group on Monday. Both artists shared statements on social media about their departures and what\u2019s next for them.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s more on Moore and Raine\u2019s exits.<\/p>\n In Moore\u2019s statement, he opened up about the \u201cscary\u201d past few years and how they led him to his decision to leave the gospel group.<\/p>\n \u201cThese last two years I\u2019ve been locked in on what really matters\u2026in my life and my career,\u201d he\u00a0wrote\u00a0on social media. \u201cIt\u2019s been scary at times, but it\u2019s also been full of fresh vision and real excitement about the future. With that, I\u2019ve made the bittersweet decision to end my relationship with Maverick City Music. When we started Mav, I was grateful to have community and belonging while fulfilling my dream of making music that would help people experience God. And we did that\u2026in ways I couldn\u2019t have imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n Moore explained that this transition \u201cisn\u2019t easy\u201d and compared it to \u201csaying goodbye to your own kid.\u201d Though he said it\u2019s difficult, the singer noted that he\u2019s excited for what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n \u201cThe dream hasn\u2019t changed. I\u2019m stepping into this next phase ready to share my story and make music that helps people feel a little more human, a little more understood, and a little less alone,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n In 2020, Moore released his solo project Feelings<\/em>. He followed it up with Chandler Moore: Live in Los Angeles<\/em>, which released last year.<\/p>\n Raine wrote on social media<\/a> that she came to the decision to leave Maverick City Music \u201cafter a lot of prayer and consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBeing a part of Mav truly changed my life! What started as a group of folks singing in a shed has turned into something I could\u2019ve never even imagined! \u2026 And now I believe God has given me the green light to step into what He\u2019s calling me to do individually. Still writing. Still singing. Still worshipping and leading others in worship \u2013 just on my own. \u2026 This isn\u2019t really an ending, but a new beginning. A new chapter. I\u2019m excited about the music, the ministry, and the purpose ahead. God\u2019s not done yet,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n According to Parade<\/a>, Brandon Lake, a former member of Maverick City Music, commented on the post: \u201cGosh reading\u00a0this just brought back so many memories and filled my eyes with tears. Love you so much. Miss you tons!\u201d<\/p>\n Raine has released several solo projects, including the two-part project\u00a0Back to Eden<\/em>, The Journey<\/em> in 2022 and more recently Jesus Over Everything (Live in Las Vegas)<\/em>.<\/p>\n Founded in 2018, Maverick City Music is best known for gospel hits like \u201cPromises\u201d and \u201cJireh,\u201d Billboard reported.
