Dolly Parton\u2019s sister has asked fans of the country singer to pray for her, as she continues to deal with unspecified health problems.<\/p>\n

Freida Parton added that her 79-year-old sibling \u201chasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last month, Parton postponed a scheduled Las Vegas residency, citing \u201chealth challenges\u201d.<\/p>\n

The country star had been due to perform six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas in December, but rescheduled for September 2026.<\/p>\n

In a post on Facebook, Freida Parton said: \u201cLast night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s strong, she\u2019s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she\u2019s going to be just fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cGodspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Parton\u2019s husband<\/a> of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean<\/a>, died aged 82 in March this year.<\/p>\n

Announcing the postponement of what would have been her first Vegas residency in more than 30 years, Parton wrote on Instagram on Sept 29: \u201cAs many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry about me quittin\u2019 the business because God hasn\u2019t said anything about stopping yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I believe he is telling me to slow down<\/a> right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freida Parton later said in another social media update that she had not meant to make her sister\u2019s condition sound so serious with her earlier post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to clear something up,\u201d she said on Facebook. \u201cI didn\u2019t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n
