Dolly Parton was back in the headlines on Tuesday as her sister, Freida Parton, took to social media to ask fans to pray for her.<\/p>\n
As most of the singer\u2019s fans know, she has to postpone a series of Las Vegas concert dates recently as she deals with health issues, and it has all been enough to obviously have her sister worried. <\/p>\n
\u201cLast night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,\u201d <\/b>she wrote on Facebook. <\/b><\/a>\u201cMany of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She\u2019s strong, she\u2019s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she\u2019s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!\u201d<\/p>\n While Parton has not specifically said what her health issues where, she addressed fans about what was going on when she announced on social media in late September that she was postponing the Las Vegas shows. <\/p>\n \u201cI want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,\u201d Parton wrote in a statement shared to her X page. \u201cAs many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I\u2019ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show read, as they say. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd don\u2019t worry about me quittin\u2019 the business because God hasn\u2019t said anything about stopping yet,\u201d she added. \u201cBut, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n She also shared that the dates for later this year are currently planned to be moved to September of 2026.<\/p>\n Parton, 79, recently cancelled an appearance at Dollywood. In a video that she shared explaining why she wasn\u2019t able to make it, she said, \u201cI had a little problem.
