Country music star Cody Johnson took to social media Tuesday with some bad news for his fans.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is with a heavy heart I have to share the remainder of this year\u2019s concert performances will not be able to happen,\u201d Johnson shared in a statement posted to his X account. \u201cWhile battling a severe upper respiratory and sinus infection, I burst my ear drum. The severity of the rupture means I must undergo immediate surgery. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe healing process will take many weeks, and it is not possible for me to sing during this time,\u201d he continued. \u201cWithout the surgery my downtime could be months. I pray for full healing so I can get well and return to doing what I love. Thank you COJO Nation for the love and support now, and always.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson returned later on Tuesday with a video to let fans know that he was \u201chome from surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWent well,\u201d he said. \u201cAs best as they could\u2019ve expected.\u201d<\/p>\n
People Magazine reported<\/b> <\/a>that the 38 year old singer had six shows left on his tour for 2025. That was set to include an Oct. 18 stop at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
