While she feels good, Rimes noted, \u201cGoing through perimenopause is no joke. But for the most part, I feel really good in my body.\u201d<\/p>\n
Alongside the physical struggles, Rimes said there is also a \u201cgrief\u201d that comes with perimenopause. \u201c[It\u2019s] not just about not making eggs anymore. That\u2019s a biological piece of us changing. It\u2019s such a deepening of the soul and allowing pieces of us that no longer serve us to fall away.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added, \u201cIt is such a transformational and beautiful part of life if we know what\u2019s going on with our bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rimes\u2019 openness about her health was best exemplified back in June when her dental bridge fell out while she was performing at the Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington. The Coyote Ugly star told the audience exactly what was happening and later opened up about the situation with her social media followers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI you\u2019ve been around, you know I\u2019ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front,\u201d Rimes said in a TikTok video,<\/a> referring to her years of oral surgeries after her veneers didn\u2019t bond properly. \u201cIt fell out in the middle of my song last night.\u201d<\/p>\nShe revealed she told the fans in attendance \u201cexactly what was happening\u201d and was \u201cpushing her teeth\u201d back in every couple of lines for the rest of the performance. \u201cThere wasn\u2019t a thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in. So, I just ran with it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
