Hours after asking fans to pray for her sister, Dolly Parton<\/strong>, Freida Parton<\/strong> returned to social media with an update to reassure those concerned about the entertainer\u2019s health.<\/p>\n Freida took to Facebook<\/a> late on October 7 to explain why she had posted earlier in the day about being \u201cup all night\u201d praying for her sister<\/a>, who is currently facing undisclosed health challenges. She wrote, “Many of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead [sic] to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”<\/p>\n The post sparked concern among fans, who feared Freida\u2019s message suggested Dolly\u2019s health might be more serious than previously disclosed. The entertainer revealed she was “dealing with some health challenges” and was advised by her doctors to “have a few procedures.”<\/p>\n While she did not disclose her medical condition, Parton did joke that the scheduled procedures had nothing to do with her “usual trip to see my plastic surgeon.” She added that she needed to take this time to focus on her health so she could deliver the live shows her fans have come to expect.<\/p>\n According to The New York Times<\/a>, Parton was scheduled to perform a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
