Travis Kelce has offered a hilarious reaction to Taylor Swift’s new song, Wood.<\/p>\n
The American football star has addressed his pop superstar fianc\u00e9e’s track, which appears on her latest album The Life of a Showgirl. The song is believed to be a cheeky nod to Kelce’s sexual prowess.<\/p>\n
During Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared his thoughts on the raunchy track.<\/p>\n
“It’s a great song,” he said when Jason asked what he thought of the track.<\/p>\n
Pressing him further, Jason asked, “Do you feel, do you feel – not confident – do you feel cocky about the song Wood?”<\/p>\n
“No,” Travis replied, before adding, “Any song that she references me in is very…”<\/p>\n
“That’s not just any song,” Jason interrupted. “This is a very specific you.”<\/p>\n
Feigning confusion, Travis told his older brother, “I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in that way…”<\/p>\n
However, Jason wasn’t letting him off easily, insisting, “It’s not just you. It’s an appendage. It’s a very specific thing.”<\/p>\n
“What?” Travis jokingly asked. “I think you’re not understanding the song.”<\/p>\n
Jason then began to quote the lyrics.<\/p>\n
“Travis, come on,” he said. “Redwood tree ain’t hard to see… I thought redwood, that’s a little bit, that’s a generous word, I think.”<\/p>\n
The former professional American football star continued, “I think if somebody wrote a song about me, it’d be like, ‘Japanese maple sometimes can see.'”<\/p>\n
While Travis continued to dodge the song’s true meaning, Jason confirmed that he thought the track was “great”.<\/p>\n
“That song’s great though,” he said. “The freaking beat to that song is fantastic and that’s right up my alley, so well done. I think it’s a great song.”<\/p>\n
He added, “I think inserting wood innuendos is always childish enough for me that I can get on board with that.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
