Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a> briefly shared how she deals with life\u2019s ups and downs shortly before news broke of her ongoing divorce from Keith Urban<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put it in my work. That\u2019s the beauty of what I do,\u201d Kidman, 58, told Vogue <\/i><\/a>in a new cover story conducted ahead of her divorce filing. \u201cThere\u2019s a place for some of this to explode, implode, process [and] discover.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kidman further told the fashion magazine that she prefers tackling film and TV projects outside of her comfort zone.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking a risk is what I\u2019ve always done,\u201d the Big Little Lies <\/i>actress said. \u201cYou get back up and you try again and you learn. I still go back to shoestring indie filmmaking because it was where I was born, but then I can move into a big studio [movie] like Practical Magic,<\/i> where you go, \u2018OK!\u2019 But that has an enormous amount of pressure and responsibility, and how do you carry that load?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNicole Kidman and Keith Urban were \u201cworking\u201d on their marriage years before splitting up, according to the Oscar-winning actress. Kidman, 58, opened up about their partnership in an interview for the September 2021 issue of Harper\u2019s Bazaar, telling the magazine, \u201cWe\u2019re always working through stuff, but it\u2019s very much love-based, so there\u2019s an enormous amount [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kidman has a packed slate of upcoming acting projects, including the highly anticipated Practical Magic 2 <\/i>with Sandra Bullock<\/strong>, that comes amid a difficult time in her personal life. Us Weekly<\/i> confirmed<\/a> late last month that Kidman and Urban, 57, separated after 19 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences<\/a>, and requested to be the primary residential parent of the now-exes\u2019 two daughters: Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.<\/p>\n

While neither Kidman nor Urban have publicly addressed their separation, a source recently told Us <\/i>that the twosome were \u201cquietly separated for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[They] needed time to figure out if they were going to actually divorce,\u201d the insider told <\/a>Us<\/a>. <\/i>\u201cShe had faith they could work it out. This wasn\u2019t Nicole\u2019s decision, and she is devastated. Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the insider, Kidman was \u201ctrying to get them to work on their marriage\u201d before she eventually filed to dissolve their union.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months,\u201d the source said, noting Kidman and Urban were living \u201cseparate lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider added, \u201cNicole and Keith were not on the same page. \u2026 They are moving in two different directions, and their worlds are not overlapping as much as they once did. The distance between them had grown more obvious recently.\u201d<\/p>\n
