Dolly Parton\u2019s sister is clearing the air after worrying fans with a social media post asking to pray for the singer\u2019s health.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to clear something up. I didn\u2019t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She\u2019s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer,\u201d Freida Parton said on Facebook<\/a> Tuesday night. \u201cIt was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n Early Wednesday morning, Dolly\u2019s other sister Stella weighed in on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cTo those with genuine concern for my big sister Dolly\u2019s well-being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans that she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment. My sister Freida is always concerned when one of her siblings isn\u2019t feeling well, so she asks for prayers on Dolly\u2019s behalf,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt\u2019s my job as a sister to both of them to love and respect their privacy as I expect them to do for me.\u201d<\/p>\n This all started on Tuesday morning when Freida took to social media<\/a> and said she was \u201cup all night praying\u201d for the \u201c9 to 5\u201d singer.<\/p>\n \u201cMany of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,\u201d she wrote. \u201cShe\u2019s strong, she\u2019s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she\u2019s going to be just fine.
