Michael C. Hall will continue his killing spree as everyone\u2019s favorite fictional serial killer, Dexter Morgan, for a second season of Showtime\u2019s\u00a0Dexter: Resurrection<\/em>. Hall posted the news in a new video, which you can see above.<\/p>\n Dexter: Resurrection<\/em>\u00a0takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.<\/p>\n More from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n But closure won\u2019t come easily. When Miami Metro\u2019s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined\u2014and that the only way out is together.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been greenlit for another season,\u201d Hall says in the clip. \u201cThere\u2019s more to come. Details will be forthcoming, but I wanted to be the first to let you know that the story continues,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Season 1 said goodbye to one more OG Dexter character, Angel Batista, played by David Zayas since the original show.<\/p>\n The drama series is a continuation of Dexter: New Blood<\/em>, a limited series that reunited the titular killer with his son Harrison Morgan (Jack Alcott).<\/p>\n Season 1 also starred Uma Thurman as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Su\u00e1rez as Elsa Rivera, with James Remar as Dexter\u2019s father, Harry Morgan, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater. Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian will guest star as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.<\/p>\n Season 1 was executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also served as showrunner, and produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
