Halle Bailey<\/a> announced on Wednesday (Oct. 8) that she\u2019ll release her debut album Love? Or Something Like It <\/em>later this month.<\/p>\n Her first solo full-length project is due Oct. 24 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. She wrote on social media that Love? Or Something Like It <\/em>tells \u201ca story of first love, heartbreak, and everything that comes after\u2026. this one means everything to me.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n In a 38-second clip, The Little Mermaid <\/em>actress narrates the beginning of said story while sitting in a gorgeous red tulle gown. \u201cOnce upon a time, there was a young girl that believed in love. She believed everyone belonged to someone, soul for soul. All she ever wanted in life was to find the truest form of love. Was it ever possible? And here\u2019s what happened,\u201d she says softly over swelling instrumentation.<\/p>\n Ahead of Love? Or Something Like It<\/em>, Bailey\u2019s released two solo singles in 2025 \u2014 \u201cBack and Forth\u201d and \u201cBraveface\u201d \u2014 and collaborated with Leon Thomas<\/a> on \u201cRather Be Alone\u201d on the Heel<\/em> deluxe edition of his critically acclaimed sophomore album Mutt. <\/em><\/p>\n Bailey and her sister Chl\u00f6e<\/a> have released two albums, 2018\u2019s The Kids Are Alright <\/em>and 2020\u2019s Ungodly Hour<\/em>, as part of their duo Chloe x Halle<\/a>. The Kids<\/em> Are Alright <\/em>earned a nomination for best urban contemporary album at the 2019 Grammy Awards, where Chloe x Halle was also up for best new artist, and Ungodly Hour <\/em>earned a best progressive R&B album nod at the 2021 Grammys.
