Gorillaz<\/a> have shared their new single \u2018The Manifesto\u2019 featuring Argentine rapper Trueno and late D12<\/a> member Proof \u2013 check it out below.<\/p>\n The sprawling track follows the Damon<\/a> Albarn<\/a>-led animated band\u2019s previous single \u2018The Happy Dictator<\/a>\u2018 featuring Sparks<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to a press release the song carries the album\u2019s \u201cthemes of the cycle of life and the afterlife\u201d through Trueno who deftly trolls his maker with the declaration: \u201cI don\u2019t know what tomorrow holds \/ When I heed the light that\u2019s calling me \/ Baby, my future is demanding me \/ I walk toward the light \/ I have nothing to lose<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Later, former Gorillaz collaborator Proof declares: \u201cYou aren\u2019t ready for death \/ Until I showed up, hold breath \/ Until you blow the on one set,\u201d<\/em> during a moment of freestyling, captured minutes before he entered the booth during an early recording session.<\/p>\n
