The Putman family took to social media on Wednesday to update its followers as two members of the family continue to battle in a hospital after a horrific crash that left three other family members dead. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to share an update and continue asking for prayers for Noah, Gia, and our entire family,\u201d the statement read. \u201cGia had a rough not, no one got much sleep. Her ICP and blood pressure were high and unstable for a while, but praise God, the doctors were able to get things under control. She\u2019s doing better now, and they\u2019re focusing on keeping her stable and taking it one day at a time. They were also able to remove her chest tube today, which is such a blessing and another step forward. <\/p>\n
\u201cNoah is doing well in rehab and continuing to amaze us,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cHe\u2019s been sleeping better, talking, eating and moving around more each day. In occupational therapy today, he was walking back and forth and even bouncing a ball on the floor! His biggest area of recovery right now is cognitive therapy, but we know God is working and healing him in His perfect timing. Blake, Lulu and Alena are still recovering, but we\u2019re thankful to share that they\u2019ve all been discharged and are doing well.\u201d<\/p>\n
The family announced on Instagram on Sept. 27 that three of its members died in the crash which occurred the night before in Michigan. <\/p>\n
\u201cDear Friends and Family, I come to you with a heavy heart asking for your prayers,\u201d that statement read. \u201cOur family was in a tragic car accident and we lost Papa, Neenee, and Aunt Megan. They have gone home to be with the Lord. Please keep Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah, and Gia in your prayers as they remain in the hospital, we are asking for complete healing and strength for each of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement added that the family \u201call proclaim that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is our hope, our peace, and our salvation,\u201d the statement read. \u201cEven in this time of heartbreak, we rest in knowing that God is in control.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement also asked for continued prayers for those recovering and for the family as they also deal with this \u201cdeep loss.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for every prayer, message, and act of love,\u201d it read. \u201cYour support means more than words can express. Please continue to lift us up, that our hearts remain fixed on the truth that Jesus conquered death so we could have eternal life.\u201d<\/p>\n
TMZ reported that the crash happened in Tuscola County<\/b><\/a>, and that the sheriff\u2019s office there sent out a press release that said it was a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a 55-year-old Florida man running a stop sign.<\/p>\n Per the outlet, police said the man\u2019s semi truck collided with a Jeep occupied by eight individuals.
