It was previously announced that Sugar <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailydot.com\/entertainment\/steven-universe-spinoff-series-lars-of-the-stars\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:would be working on a new Steven Universe spin-off;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">would be working on a new<em> Steven Universe<\/em> spin-off<\/a>, <em>Lars of the Stars<\/em>, but that&#8217;s not the only project fans of the creator have to look forward to.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sugar took to Instagram this week to share the news that they will be directing a Moomin feature from Annapurna, the studio behind <em>Nimona<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Humbled and thrilled to be directing a Moomin animated feature,&#8221; Sugar captioned the post. &#8220;This mug was on my desk every day while I was running <em>Steven Universe<\/em>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">What are Moomins?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Moomins are characters created by Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson. They are featured in novels, short stories, picture books, and a comic strip. Despite resembling hippomotimus, Moomins are categorized as trolls.
