The country music world has been waiting since May for word from Alan Jackson on his final show, and that word came on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The country music legend, who retired from touring after his show on May 17 in Milwaukee, announced that he will host \u201cLast Call: One More For The Road \u2014 The Finale,\u201d on June 27, 2026 at Nashville\u2019s Nissan Stadium. <\/p>\n
Back during his show in Milwaukee in May, Jackson shared with the audience a little bit of the story of his struggle to make it. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt started 40 years ago this September,\u201d he said. \u201cMy wife and I drove to Nashville with an old U-Haul trailer chasing the dream, and it has been a crazy ride. Lived the American Dream for sure, and I\u2019m so blessed, and thank y\u2019all so much for all of your support, coming to the shows.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Jackson ended the show, he addressed the crowd once more.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just want to say thanks to y\u2019all once again,\u201d he said. \u201cY\u2019all have been a wonderful crowd here tonight. I can\u2019t think of a better way to end my touring career out here with y\u2019all. Wonderful crowd. God bless you. Appreciate you.<\/p>\n
\u201cMaybe I\u2019ll see y\u2019all again one day.\u201d<\/p>\n
While it is sad that Jackson is stepping away, he is doing it for health reasons and to be with family. And, in the end, he did pretty, darned well for himself to put himself in position to able to make the move. <\/p>\n
