Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are poised to accept the ‘Humanitarians of the Year’ honor at the nonprofit’s World Mental Health Day Gala in New York<\/a> City later today. The duo<\/a> will be recognized for their efforts to create a safer digital environment for families and children.<\/p>\n

In 2020, Harry and Meghan<\/a> founded The Archewell Foundation and, driven by their mission to “show up, do good”, they unveiled The Parents’ Network at the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival in 2023. This program aims to assist families affected by online harm.<\/p>\n

Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, have previously revealed that their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, serve as the driving force behind their commitment to creating a more secure online environment. The news emerges as Meghan \u2018doesn\u2019t want to get involved’ with Prince Harry’s royal peace talks.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On X, numerous Royal supporters have slammed the decision to honor the couple with the award, with some even claiming that Meghan and Harry “purchased” the recognition, which cannot be bought.<\/p>\n

One supporter wrote: “Cannot believe Project Healthy Mind is giving an award to Harry and Meghan… It seems anyone can buy an award these days.” Another added: “Another award Harry and Meghan paid for.”<\/p>\n

A third remarked: “I’m still laughing that Harry and Meghan have bought another award. This time a Humanitarian of the Year award… you can buy anything in celebrity land.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Taking to the social media platform, another wrote: “Hopefully [Meghan] can get a refund for the “Humanitarian of the Year” award she purchased [shoulder-shrug emoji].”<\/p>\n

In a statement, Meghan and Harry said: “Working with families and young people to prioritize safety online has been some of the most meaningful work of our lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
