Cam Newton<\/a> is officially a dad of nine!<\/p>\n The former NFL player shared the exciting news that his family had grown by one more during an appearance on Tamron Hall<\/em>, which will premiere next Thursday, Oct. 16. He shares four children with his ex-girlfriend,\u00a0Kia Proctor<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 sons\u00a0Chosen Sebastian<\/a>, Camidas Swain and\u00a0Cashmere Saint<\/a>\u00a0and daughter\u00a0Sovereign-Dior Cambella<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and helps raise Proctor\u2019s older daughter, Shakira.<\/p>\n The athlete also shares two kids with photographer LaReina Shaw \u2014 their son,\u00a0Caesar<\/a>\u00a0and Shaw’s older son, Jaden, from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n In February, Newton spoke with PEOPLE ahead of Super Bowl LIX from the SiriusXM set at Media Row and shared that he was hoping to have a ninth baby<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDid I tell you I want more?\u201d Newton told PEOPLE when asked about his kids. He also shares that he doesn’t know when he’ll feel like his family is complete.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know, wherever much that God gives me,” he said when asked how many more kids he’d want. “But jokingly, and not jokingly, they really give me my purpose and there\u2019s so many different things that I look at to say, they\u2019re my refuge. They\u2019re my peace. They\u2019re my encouragement.”<\/p>\n “There\u2019s times where, even I\u2019m here and they\u2019re still at home.
