HBO has debuted a trailer<\/a> and release date for the first new<\/a> Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a> series in three years, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms<\/em>. The clip premiered at New York Comic Con on Oct. 9,\u00a0 teasing the six-episode season set to premiere Jan. 18. The series will star Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall, or Dunk.<\/p>\n HBO describes the series, \u201cA century before the events of Game of Thrones<\/em>,\u201d when \u201cTwo unlikely heroes wandered Westeros \u2026 a young, na\u00efve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Martin told Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> he\u2019s thrilled with season one. \u201cNobody is thinking about magic,\u201d he told the publication about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms<\/em>. \u201cThis could basically be 14th century Britain,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is hard nose, grind it out, gritty, medieval knights, cold with a really light, hopeful touch. It\u2019s a wonderful place to be. We are ground up in this series, we are starting right at the bottom.
