The most wonderful time of the year is kicking it up a notch in Hornell in 2025, thanks to a performer born into one of country music\u2019s most iconic families.<\/p>\n
Singer-songwriter Whey Jennings will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 in the Hornell High School auditorium.<\/p>\n
The grandson of Country Music Hall of Famer Waylon Jennings, Whey Jennings is known for his powerful voice and heartfelt songs that trace how he came to terms with and recovered from personal demons.<\/p>\n
Hornell Partners for Growth said it hopes to establish the special Christmastime concert as a recurring event, making it part of Hornell for the Holidays staples like the parade, visits to Santa’s Cottage and tree lighting.<\/p>\n

The Dirt Rock Empire recording artist released his first studio full length album, \u201cJekyll & Hyde,\u201d in 2024, following his earlier EP releases \u201cGypsy Soul,\u201d “If it wasn\u2019t for The Sinnin\u2019,\u201d and \u201cJust Before The Dawn.\u201d<\/p>\n
The songwriting explores themes of personal struggle, addiction, and finding sobriety and redemption through faith, family and friends.<\/p>\n

Whey Jennings, the grandson of country music legend Waylon Jennings, will perform a Christmas concert on Dec. 7 in the Hornell High School auditorium. Jennings’ appearance coincides with “Hornell for the Holidays” activities in the Maple City.<\/p>\n
