\t\t<\/p>\n Kevin Jonas<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 wife Danielle Jonas<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about being diagnosed with Lyme disease.<\/p>\n In a new interview with Parents<\/a><\/em> published on Thursday (October 9), Danielle<\/strong>, 39, said that she first noticed something was wrong when she began experiencing hair loss.<\/p>\n \u201cThey tried to tell me it was anxiety,\u201d Danielle<\/strong> shared. \u201cFinally, I had a biopsy that showed I actually had Lyme disease. I also had eczema on my scalp<\/a>, which was likely from the inflammation [caused by Lyme disease]. The hair loss was very traumatic. I got to a point where I wanted to wear a wig.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Danielle<\/strong> \u2013 who has been married to the 39-year-old Jonas Brothers<\/strong><\/a> member since 2009 \u2013 admitted that the symptoms made her self-conscious whenever she stepped out with her husband.<\/p>\n \u201cI had to go out and do things with Kevin,\u201d Danielle<\/strong> said. \u201cI just wanted to feel like myself.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the CDC<\/a>, Lyme disease is a \u201cbacterial infection spread to people through the bite of blacklegged ticks.\u201d<\/p>\n Symptoms can include \u201cfever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.\u201d<\/p>\n While Danielle<\/strong> didn\u2019t share her exact timeline of her diagnosis, she did say that her symptoms are currently under control.<\/p>\n She also shared that a major part of working through her symptoms helped inform her on how to talk to her and Kevin<\/strong>\u2018s daughters Alena<\/strong>, 11, and Valentina<\/strong>, 8, about their own skin struggles.<\/p>\n \u201cThey saw everything I went through,\u201d Danielle<\/strong> explained. \u201cSo the main thing I tell them [when their eczema flares up] is \u2018this is going to pass.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Last year, Kevin<\/strong> revealed that he had minor surgery to have skin cancer removed<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
