On Thursday, Vives and Li Saumet released \u201cLa Samaria,\u201d accompanied by a vibrant video celebrating the 500th anniversary of Santa Marta and its rich cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis song means a lot to me because it\u2019s a song from my homeland\u2014where I grew up, where I was born and raised, and where I became the person I am,\u201d Li Saumet said in a press release. \u201cIt\u2019s where I learned to connect with the Sierra, with the people, with the cultures of my land. It\u2019s a sacred place, so it\u2019s important for me to be able to offer that energy in a song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Backed by traditional instruments, they honor the city\u2019s beauty: \u201cHere all sadness leaves with the waves,\u201d Vives sings.<\/p>\n Vives produced the song with Bomba Est\u00e9ro members Jos\u00e9 Castillo, Andr\u00e9s Leal, and Casta.
