\n\tNicole Scherzinger<\/a> has now checked another item off the bucket list. <\/p>\n \n\tOn Wednesday night, Scherzinger made her debut at Carnegie Hall<\/a> with a one-night-only concert in New York, following her Tony win earlier this year<\/a> for best actress in a musical. Scherzinger starred as Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd.<\/em> \u201cI have been so blessed to have had so many dreams come true these past few years, but I don\u2019t know if I ever dreamed this big,\u201d she said to the crowd. \u201cEver since I was a little girl, I said, \u2018One day I\u2019m going to perform at the Carnegie Hall.’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tTo kick things off, Scherzinger arrived in an all gold look to belt out \u201cDon\u2019t Rain on My Parade\u201d from Funny Girl<\/em>. But of course, she restarted the song at the beginning, giving a memorable nod to its original star, Barbra Streisand.<\/p>\n \n\tThe singer also took the opportunity to honor some of her heroes by singing Shirley Bassey\u2018s \u201cDiamonds Are Forever,\u201d Follies\u2018 \u201cLosing My Mind\u201d and Prince\u2019s \u201cPurple Rain.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBut it was Scherzinger\u2019s humor that made the night one to remember, in addition to her obvious talent. She joked about Diva behavior, showed off her Olivier and Tony Awards<\/a> and debuted a hilarious, original song called \u201cBullshit.\u201d She also said that she was working on \u201csomething\u201d and teased that new music is coming.<\/p>\n \n\tLater in the night, she even brought out a bullhorn to poke fun at that viral moment<\/a> in April when Sunset Blvd. <\/em>experienced technical difficulties ahead of their matinee show, so instead of canceling the entire <\/em>performance, she sang \u201cWith One Look\u201d into a bullhorn to still give audiences a taste of the show\u2019s experience. When THR <\/a><\/em>spoke to her<\/a> in May following her Tony nomination, she said her \u201cpop star mentality\u201d prepared her to \u201cthink on my feet.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhile it was a fun and lively performance, it was also emotional for Scherzinger, who wiped away tears between songs, likely overwhelmed by receiving seven standing ovations throughout the night. After Sunset Blvd<\/em>.\u2019s \u201cAs If We Never Said Goodbye\u201d came to a close, she looked up the balcony, where its director Jamie Lloyd was sitting and thanked him for his support.<\/p>\n
